Keep both litter boxes
Place the new model alongside your cat’s familiar litter box. Choose a quiet, accessible location and let your cat explore without being placed inside.
Use familiar litter
If compatible with the new model, start with the litter your cat already knows. Where possible, leave automatic cleaning switched off while your cat gets used to the device.
Introduce cleaning gradually
Run the first cycle while your cat is relaxed and at a safe distance. Watch their reaction and give them time. Remove the old litter box only after your cat reliably uses the new one.
